Aiuto!Cisco 877 si congela

A me con la 12.4.20T si bloccava subito!

comunque l'ultima relase 124-22.T anche con la crittografia wpa2 crea problemi. In qualche forum ho letto che pure la 124-20 ha creato dei problemi strani a chi ha fatto l'upgrade, personalmente non la ho mai provata. Ho downgradato a una 124-15.T8 piena di patches, prima utilizzavo una 124-15.T6 che non mi ha creato problemi sul wifi.

- 12.22T con questo problema, reinizializzazione, e fallo totale de funzionamento (no reload)
- 12.20T1 non questo problema ma bloccava subito
- 12.15T8 perfettamente operativo e funzionando

Io e provato tutto per fazer funzionar el router con la versione 12.4-22T e la unica speranza e una nuova versione

Mirando la tua configurazioni non e visto qual cosa eque no funzionare a la 12.4-15T8

Tota la prova ha esatto con p2p funzionando.

confermo! Sto usando la 12.4-15T8 da qualche giorno e 0 problemi con le altre release piu' nuove strani errori, a me soprattutto nel wifi.

Please check for corrupted files in bittorrent after the 22T/20T1 issues. I'm redownloading some bittorrent files, and suspect will have to redownload everything.

Still haven't download any file from Em/Kad network, will see (I use a Synology CS-407 with rtorrent and amuled as p2p client, maybe other clients don't have that problem with the network going bad...)

I never use Ios from p2p network, so I don't know if there is some ios corrupted.

1. About the IOS:
All my IOS where officially downloaded. I had to redownload some bittorrent files (No IOS files).

To check the IOS (it can be bad-downloaded and is always a good think to do ckeck it), after uploading the new IOS, do a reload this way:

Then the router will verify the IOS you'll be using after the reload:

I always do it the first time I use a IOS, sometimes I upload it though a VPN remotely and I want to be sure the router will have no problem after the reload (it's a good think when you're 300kms away of the router).

2. About the bittorrent files:
Another files has ended correctly since last message. I reinitialized bittorrent for it to check the files before ending, maybe this has helped to sanitize the downloads. Just in the case this begin happening to anybody, you could health all your downloads the same way.

Buongiorno, spero sia utile, ho notato che con il traffico edonkey e l'ios 12.4.22 il router si congela, senza sembra andare tutto liscio, magari c'è qualche impostazione particolare? Una di sicuro è non usare tali software .

I've lost access to the router after the reload... Maybe 12.4-20T2 is not the answer...

I still has to re-activate IPS (formatted flash on arrival because the router didn't boot properly), but by now works like a charm. Upgraded yesterday night, still working with no bad message after 13 hours.

It seems we've got it!!!

Now we'll have to wait for the latest features of the 12.4-22T in the next release that will solve the problems too and we'll be fine (hope)...

I suspect 12.4-15T8 caused the flash to be corrupted in any way (messages about bad blocks) and that's the reason 12.4-20T2 didn't worked yesterday morning in first reload. I've also left ADSL firmware on its own because 12.4-15T8 didn't synchronized in some reloads (always the ones I'm furher [2000km] from the router and nobody near to hard-reload )

It's been 18 hours without problems, now with IPS working. (Found on ROMMON, but could be a power loss failure, will give a try)

I've beginning to debug 12.4-20T2 now the router doesn't reload and do nasty things with a newer IOS, and checked the command:

I can't put here all the lines that were shown, each line represents death processes still holding memory without releasing them. What are doing Cisco guys with the 870 series?

I did also a

I'm holding more than 50MB memory with dead processes!!! I'm lucky upgraded mine to 256MB!

I've installed IPS and webvpn packages and now the systems has turned more stable, the dead memory is almost zero and everything seems to work fine now.

I think it's now safe to install 12.4-20T2.

provata 124-24.T problemi a scatafascio...messa su la 124-22.T sembrava andare tutto bene fino a 2 min.fa, giocando con VPN ho avuto due riavvii poco piacevoli.....non avevo dato "wr mem" secondo voi che metto???!!
