ASSWORD RECOVERY FUNCTIONALITY IS DISABLED cisco 1700

Ciao a tutti.
Ho recuperato da una ditta un cisco 170
Vorrei resettare completamente la configurazione e utilizzarlo per farci un
po di prove.
Sono entrato in console e mi chiede l'autenticazione tramite username e
password,
ho tentato il password recovery di Cisco (con il CTRL-break al boot, per
intenderci ) ma ho notato che durante
il boot stesso compare il messaggio password recovery functionality disabled
che a quanto pare impedisce il password recovery descritto da cisco, e comunque alla fine della procedura cisco mi riporta nuovamente nell'inserimento dell'username e password!
qualcuno mi spiega come poter risolvere il problema?
