Cisco 837 non raggiungibile... :-(

Ciao a tutti,
ho visto questo forum molto ben fornito ed ho anche fatto una ricerca ma non ho trovato soluzione al mio problema...

Ho acquistato un Cisco 837 su ebay ma appena connesso ad un pc con dhcp mi viene assegnato un ip casuale da windows tipo 169.254.x.x non conosco l'ip del router purtroppo e non so come raggiungerlo, ho provato a pingare diversi ip di default possibili ma nulla...

HELP!!!

Come faccio? :cry:

Accedi da consolle seriale, forse ha tutte le interfacce ethernet in shutdown.

hai il cavo seriale azzurrino?
collegalo ad una porta com del pc apri hyper terminal settalo n,8,1 e vedi un po da consolle se riesci ad accedere, premi un paio di volte invio, dovrebbe apparirti il prompt, scrivi "enable" e dicci che risponde.

Non so dove mettere le manine... per ora mi basta riuscire ad attivare il dhcp ed avere il router raggiungibile per configurarlo tramite SDM, poi mi dedicherò alle potenzialità pian piano... HELP

Va be, hai le password in chiaro ma a quello metterai rimedio dopo...
adesso ti conviene configurate le interfacce ethernet in modo che non siano in shutdown....
fai cosi:
enable
conf t
interface ethernet0
ip address INDIRIZZO IP CHE VUOI DARE AL ROUTER SUBNET VALIDA
no shutdown
exit
copy run startup

al momento hai dato un ip alla fast ethernet, ma non all'interfaccia ethernet, e cosi non funzia.
con i comandi che ti ho messo sopra riesci a far quello che ti serve.
Ti potrei spiegare anche il resto di quello che ti ha detto il router ma sono al lavoro e non ho molto tempo.
cmq alla ethernet0 dai un indirizzo tipo 192.168.0.1 con subnet 255.255.255.0 che e' meglio.
per cancellare le righe di conf che non ti servono basta che riscrivi l'intera riga con un "no" davanti.
per vedere la tua configurazione dopo enable scrivi "show run"
E se la configurazione ce la posti e' anche meglio... :)

Lascia perdere per un attimo il dhcp, metti un indirizzo tu a manina nel pc, tipo 192.168.0.254 e prova ad accedere al router tramite lan...
Adesso dovresti accederci anche con SDM

Ops: ovviamente tu sei collegato sulla porta n4 dell'hub, intendo il pc che stai usando e' collegato sulla porta n4, e ti si accende il led relativo sul router, vero?

Grande! Avevo già provato l'alternativa ip fisso ed ho avuto accesso con SDM, ho impostato qualche parametro ed ora funge anche il dhcp!
Va solo in loop quando tento di impostare i settaggi dell'adsl ma probabilmente è perchè ora non ho attaccato il cavo telefonico perchè non sono a casa, stasera provo.

Mi sei stato di immenso aiuto!! Ti ringrazio tantissimo! :lol:

Mi sorge un dubbio, non ho ancora provato le altre porte, vediamo...

Ancora... UFFA!

Ho lasciato senza alimentazine il router e si è sconfigurato tutto, allora ho ripetuto le stesso procedure ma ora l'sdm si avvia e renza a caricare senza fare altro, non compare... e cmq il dhcp nn va più, sono su ip statico.

dunque in teoria non riesci a accedere a SDM perchè non hai impostato un username e una password di livello privilege 15...

entrando nella consolle digita
ena (che sta per enable - ti chiederà la password di enable...)
poi digita
conf t (che sta per configuration terminal)
poi digita
user TUOUSER privilege 15 secret TUAPASSWORD
con questo crei un utente nuovo che ha i diritti per poter modificare tutto e avrai in questo utente una password criptata...

poi one evitare di perdere la configurazione appena hai finito di scrivere questi comandi digita
copy run start
questo comando copia la running-config nella startup-config in modo che al primo riavvio riparta la configurazione che stai modificando!!!

fatto questo dovresti poter accedere a sdm senza nessun problema...
