Hi
I have a Cisco 800 Series ISDN Router. I have configured a p2p connection with my internet provider. So my modem dial the number and start the connection when needed.
But I would like to stop my router to answer any incoming call.
So the router should be able to dial out only.

Any helps will be appreciated

Regards from Italy

Andrea

Hi,

Just for info, this is an italian forum and it seems strange to me to find here an english post, so i wonder where are you writing from?
The easiest way to discriminate a call on ISDN is via the called number, using two separate numbers; one for voice calls and another for data calls.
In your case I assume that your router is answering on voice calls on the same number that is used both for data and voice calls.
So, if it's your case, you may instruct the BRI to do reject the voice calls, so only the phone will ring (and answer).
In order to achieve this goal, you should use the isdn reject voice command under the BRI.

Hoping it will work, let us know
Ciao

Thanks
