problema alice 7mega e vecchi router cisco

ho fatto un abbonamento come privato ad alice 7mbit
ho messo la configurazione sia su un cisco 837 che su un vecchio soho77 ed entrambi non riescono a prendere la linea adsl

ho fatto venire un tecnico che ha provato con un suo router e a lui si e' collegato a 8mbit!

possibile che questi router non funzionano piu' neanche con una 7 mbit?
vi risulta? e' normale?

no e' una 7 mbit, ho fatto apposta la richiesta di 7 mbit per poter continuare a usare questi router...
forse e' riuscito a collegarsi a 8mbit perche' sono vicinissimo alla centrale..

dopo vari smanettamenti sono riuscito a far accendere la luce dell'adsl

ora con sh dsl interface atm0

esce questo, pero' non riesco a collegarmi..

mmmm...s.econdo me sono un poco scarsini.....potresti essere anche abbastanza vicino alla centrale...ma hai una qualità di linea parecchio scadente.....potresti anche sperimentare disconessioni in alcuni casi.tieni d'occhio il numero di attivazioni nel caso dovessero aumentare

stamattina non funzionava piu' la connessione, allora ho staccato il filo del telefono l'ho riattaccato, ha cambiato ip e ha continuato a funzionare
sono andato a vedere in show dsl interface atm0 e ho notato questo:

Sarei tentato di mettere la 12.4T su questo router. Ho visto pochissimi
837 con 64mega di ram!

Sono molti. Magari sono stato poco fortunato, nel senso che gli 837 che
ho visto sono stati fatti in un anno particolare, ma per lo piu' li ho visti con 48 mega.
