Esiste un comando per verificare il numero di banchi di memoria di espansione e il loro rispettivo valore, oltre a quella onboard, montati su di un router ?




Dando il comando show version nel riferimento alla memoria RAM si specifica

Es.

2621XM ........with 94208K / 4096K 96 MB

1751 V ........with 83559K / 14745K 96 MB

1751 V .........with 115514K / 15558 K 128 MB

Vorrei capire a cosa si riferiscono i due valori separati da /

Tutti i router menzionati hanno 32 MB di Flash

8 - 16 - 32 - 64 - 128

Quindi in teoria

2621XM ........with 94208K / 4096K 96 MB

1751 V ........with 83559K / 14745K 96 MB

hai:

per il primo router: 64 + 32
Per il secondo idem.
Per il terzo o 2 da 64 o una da 128

Il primo valore è quello che rappresenta la quantità di memoria mentre il secondo rappresenta la quantità shared[/code]

Ok per la suddivisione dei banchi...ma che intendi per " quantità shared " ?

La shared è quella dedicata al packet buffering. Cisco dice questo.

Ovvio che se devi caricare una nuova IOS devi guardare il primo valore

The first value tells you how DRAM is available for system processing, and the second value tells you how much DRAM is being used for Packet memory.

The first value, Main Processor memory, is either:

•The amount of DRAM available for the processor, or

•The total amount of DRAM installed on the system.

The second value, Packet memory, is either:

•The total physical input/output (I/O) memory (or "Fast memory") installed on the router (Cisco 4000, 4500, 4700, and 7500 series), or

•The amount of "shared memory" used for packet buffering. In the shared memory scheme (Cisco 2500, 2600, 3600, and 7200 Series), a percentage of DRAM is used for packet buffering by the router's network interfaces.

Note The terms "I/O memory" or "iomem"; "shared memory"; "Fast memory" and "PCI memory" all refer to "Packet Memory". Packet memory is either separate physical RAM or shared DRAM.

Per quanto riguarda il comando per verifcare il numero di banchi di memoria installati ...esiste qualcosa ?
